2025 Annual Conference and International Symposium of the Taiwan Risk and Insurance Association

To promote academic development in the fields of risk management and insurance, and to enhance opportunities for academic–practical exchange, the Taiwan Risk and Insurance Association (TRIA), in collaboration with the Department of Risk Management and Insurance at Tamkang University, will jointly host the 2025 Annual Conference and International Symposium on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Tamkang University.

This conference aims to foster interaction among scholars engaged in risk and insurance research at universities and colleges in Taiwan, and to strengthen dialogue among industry, government, and academia. The event seeks to advance research collaboration and innovation in the field of risk management and insurance.

The symposium will adopt a dual-track format, consisting of academic paper sessions and academic/practical panels. Distinguished domestic and international scholars will be invited to explore frontier research issues, analyze international financial trends, and propose policy recommendations for the insurance industry.

We are honored to announce that Professor Alexander Mürmann (Institute for Finance, Banking and Insurance), currently Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Geneva Risk and Insurance Review, Associate Editor of the Journal of Risk and Insurance, President of the European Group of Risk and Insurance Economists, President of the Risk Theory Society, and Board Member of the American Risk and Insurance Association, as well as recipient of the Robert I. Mehr Award, AXA-EGRIE Prize at WRIEC, and PARC/Boettner/NICHD Pilot Project Competition Award, will serve as the keynote speaker of the conference.

Through this symposium, we aspire to promote scholarly progress in risk and insurance and to strengthen collaboration between academia, industry, and government, thereby advancing the integration of theory and practice.
